We provided training to staff at Pearson on the structure and context of student services teams within universities, to help colleagues working at this online education provider to make effective referrals to student services within their partner universities.

100% of participants attending the training said that the trainer was effective, and 100% said that the training made them feel enthusiastic about attending other similar training events in the future.

We followed up this work with specific training on managing distressed students, and by working with Pearson to review the way in which their student support teams responding to distressed students.

We are now helping Pearson to discuss referral routes with their partner institutions, to ensure that students can be guided seamlessly into the right support at the right time.
